1. Who we are

Motorbike Import is a trading name of Imexs Brokerage LTD, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 13989357, registered office 128 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX. Email: info@motorbikeimport.co.uk. Phone: 020 3826 8879.

For UK data protection law we are the controller of the personal data described here: we decide what is collected and why.

2. What we collect

The quote form. Your name, email address, phone number, the make, model and year of the bike, where it was built, and, if you choose to give them, where it is now and anything you write in the message box.

Calls and emails. Whatever you tell us when you contact us directly.

Documents, if you use our service. The papers your import needs, such as purchase invoices, registration documents and proof of identity. We ask for these at that point, not through the website.

Collected automatically. Your IP address, browser and the pages you visit, in our server logs and through Google Analytics (see section 6).

Where your visit came from. When you send the quote form, it also sends us how you first reached the website in that visit (for example a Google search, an advert, ChatGPT or a direct visit), any campaign name in the link, and the first page you opened. We use this to see which of our pages and adverts bring enquiries. You can turn it off on the cookie settings page.

3. Why we use it, and our lawful basis

We do not sell your data and we do not pass it to anyone for their own marketing.

4. Who we share it with

5. How long we keep it

6. Cookies and analytics

Cookies are small files your browser stores. This website uses Google Analytics cookies (names starting with _ga, kept for up to 2 years) to count visits and see which pages and guides people read, so that we can improve them. Google Analytics runs for every visitor. Google processes this data for us and may process it outside the UK: see Google's privacy policy and how Google uses data from sites that use its services.

The website also keeps a note in your browser (mi_cookie_consent) of your choice on the cookie notice, and remembers where your visit came from for the rest of the visit (mi_attribution, deleted when you close the tab). You can change your choice on the cookie settings page.

7. Your rights

You can ask us, free of charge, to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or send it to you in a portable format. Email info@motorbikeimport.co.uk and we will reply within one month.

You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK data protection regulator.

8. Security

The website runs over an encrypted connection and the file holding form requests is stored outside the public part of the website, where it cannot be opened from a browser. Access is limited to the people who handle your request.

9. Changes

If we change this policy, the new version appears on this page with a new date at the top.
